Jonas Masdonati is a professor of career counseling at the Institute of Psychology of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He is head of the Research Center in Vocational Psychology and Career Counseling (CePCO) and of the counseling service of the University of Lausanne, and member of the Education and Training Observatory (OBSEF). He is associate editor of the journal L’Orientation Scolaire et Professionnelle, and consulting editor of the Journal of Career Assessment. He previously worked as a senior researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (SFIVET) and as a professor of career counseling at Laval University, Canada. His research activities mainly draw on qualitative and mixed methods, and focus on the school-to-work transition, career changes, meaning of work, decent work, vocational and occupational identities, vocational education and training, and career counseling processes and outcomes.
